Mother In Law

I have written a few stories here, which are my experiences mostly; but this one is a story where I was a mere witness. I will make this story as brief as possible.
My mother-in-law passed away in August 2011 very suddenly. She was not suffering from anything life threatening, just had a bad case of arthritis. He death was due to overdose of a particularly strong medicine that she was prescribed. She was supposed to take one tablet every 2 weeks, but she misunderstood the doctor and used to take 2 tablets every week, due to which all her major organs started to fail, but she didn't realize it until it was very late.
Now, all her children (1 son and 3 daughters) lived the Gulf along with their families and when the father informed us all that she was very serious and in the ICU we all flew down to India. She passed away in the evening at 5:45 pm, on the day that we landed. I could not go to the hospital to be with her as I was looking after my two kids, plus my sis-in-law's kids. I remember the time cause when my husband called from the hospital to say that mummy had passed away at 5:45, I looked at the wall clock and it had stopped at 5:45. She was unconscious during the time we were there and so none of her kids didn't get a chance to talk to her.
She was a very nice and sweet person so all of her kids were heartbroken. Her children were inconsolable, especially her youngest daughter let's call her Lorre, who was very close to her. We started making the preparations for the funeral. We picked out a dress & shoes for her to wear, and started looking for her jewelry to put of her. But sadly we couldn't find anything except her wedding ring. Anyway we didn't have much time to waste so we decided to let her be buried with only her wedding ring.
After the funeral we came home and all about looking for the jewelry was forgotten as the family was coping up with such a huge loss. A few days went by and we were getting ready to come back to the Gulf and our jobs when Lorre remembered her mom's jewelry and started looking for it. She turned the house upside down but she didn't find it. She even looked in the safe, nothing there too. She asked her father about it and he said he didn't know anything about it (he was depressed anyway). In frustration she just said "Oh, Ma where have you kept the gold?" The next morning Lorre woke up and said, "Mummy came in my dreams. She told me that she had kept the gold in the wooden cabinet in her room." So I said, "But you have looked there already." And she said yes she had, but she would look again. She did spend half the day trying to find but didn't find anything in the cabinet. So she just gave up and started packing as we all were leaving the next day.
Next morning again she woke up and said that mom had come in the dream and said "Look properly in the wooden cabinet, Beta, that's where I kept the gold." So she started searching the cabinet all over again, and guess what? She did find the jewelry in the wooden cabinet. There they were 2 gold necklaces, a gold bracelet, 3 rings and few bangles neatly hung up on a nail on the wall of the wooden cabinet and all this while she was looking on the shelves only.
We were all amazed by this incident and it reconfirmed my belief that death is not the end, our loved ones still remain with us and do watch over us everyday.
